We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities. You will implement warehousing procedures and SOPs, to ensure smooth day-to-day activities. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and increase warehouse efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Move inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with related UN Project Officer and units
- Receive inventory according to HACCP standards, ensuring that temperature controls are monitored and recorded, and rations are stored according to product Rations Standards
- Meet warehouse HACCP operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements
- Manage automated Warehouse Management System to document all aspects of rations handling, inventory and controls
- Manage the receiving and storing of food rations according to HACCP standards
- Supervise all Pest Control activities
- Act as Deputy Food Safety Team Leader and report all food safety incidents to the Food Safety Team Leader
- Keep equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
- Secure warehouse by turning alarms on; testing systems and verifying temperature compliance
- Maintain inventory by conducting weekly and monthly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data
- Maintain warehouse facility by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; maintaining standards of hygiene and cleanliness; recommending improvements
- Process picking orders and prepares rations for distribution
- Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures
- Implement the GCCS performance management process by setting KPI’s for direct reports, conducting regular reviews, identifying training requirements and provide a coaching, mentoring and supportive role

- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor
- Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
- Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency

- BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
