We are looking for a Stock Controller to manage our inventory based on project needs. Stock Controller responsibilities include tracking shipments, overseeing inventory audits, and maintaining reports of stock levels. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with supply chain procedures and have good communication skills to interact with vendors, clients, and internal teams. Ultimately, you will increase profitability and effectiveness by maintaining optimal stock levels of quality products at all times.
Responsibilities
- Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out of stock (OOS)
- Prepare required inventory reports in a timely manner
- Plan and supervise the physical monthly inventories
- Ensure the rotation of materials and finished goods on a first-in, first-out basis
- Administer various assignments and programs such as a pallet exchange program, pallet repair, and inventory issue ticket system for raw materials and finished goods
- Coordinate the scheduling of trucks for shipment of product to ensure the timely filling of all orders
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions
- Keep updated inventory records, including daily shipments, dispatched goods, etc,
- Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)
- Oversee the storage of products, particularly perishable items
- Track shipments and address any delays by coordinating with internal teams
- Place orders to replenish line item goods as needed
- Enter inventory details into the WMS to ensure accurate stock levels are indicated
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager or similar role
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
- Working knowledge of inventory management software
- Active participation in inventory audits
- Excellent organization skills
- Good communication and negotiation abilities
- BSc in Logistics, Business Administration, or relevant field
