Job Description

We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Manager to oversee all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of the company’s facilities, including equipment. You will be the one to ensure that your team has the resources available to complete their duties according to budget. A great maintenance manager will have a solid understanding of heavy equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts. They will be well-versed in all maintenance processes and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have an aptitude for undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting, etc. The goal is to ensure the company/client equipment and facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the company’s business operations.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement all maintenance procedures
  • Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
  • Check electrical and hydraulic systems of accommodation/warehouses, and other facilities to ensure functionality
  • Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
  • Allocate workload and supervise maintenance staff
  • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
  • Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
  • Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities, and provide weekly and monthly reports to the management
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, company policies and procedures• Implement the GCCS performance management process by setting KPI’s for direct reports, conducting regular reviews, identifying training requirements, and provide a coaching, mentoring and supportive role

Requirements

To be considered, you mush have/ be:

  • Proven experience as a maintenance manager or other managerial roles, with at least 5 years of total relevant work experience, 3 of which are in a managerial/supervisory role
  • Experience in planning maintenance operations
  • Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
  • Ability to keep track of and report on activity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Willing to travel within the country of operations
  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or relevant certification
