We are currently talent pooling for an On-site Medic/Nurse to join our team and provide first-line care to our staff who need medical attention when the opportunity comes up. On-site Medic/Nurse responsibilities include assisting staff with emergency medical care, addressing patient injuries, and providing high-quality nursing standards at all times. Ultimately, you will work directly with staff/patients in a remote environment to ensure patients receive the medical attention they need and address health risks/ issues.
Note this is not yet a confirmed role, we are talent pooling to be ready with qualified talent as soon as the opportunity becomes confirmed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform first aid when needed
- Clean wounds and reset bones for staff when required
- Maintain on-site clinic care standards, equipment,
- Assist with insurance paperwork as needed,
- Check pre-employment medicals, maintain employee medical records, and ensure food handlers' certificates are updated for all staff
- Ensure the efficiency of the patient check-in process
- Display strong decision-making skills in emergency scenarios
- Provide guidance and training on potential health risks on-site, examples
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have/be:
- Proven work experience as an ER Nurse, on-site medic, or similar role, at least 3 years' experience
- Able to work under high-pressure, high-stress situations
- Attention to detail to quickly determine the medical needs of patients
- Good organizational skills to ensure the on-site clinic has essential supplies
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Relevant training and/or certifications as an ER Nurse
- Certified first aider
- Willing to travel to different locations in DRC
