Job Description

We are looking for an HR amp; Administration Manager to oversee all functions of our Human Resources department and provide support to our employees. HR Manager responsibilities include employee relations, implementing company policies, supporting people managers in the operations, and maintaining internal HR systems. To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in Human Resources Management along with relevant work experience with a preference for who have worked in a multicultural, remote site work environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our HR initiatives are cost-effective, run smoothly, and contribute to a healthy work environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Overall management and administration of the HR function on-site
  • Administer HR policies amp; procedures on-site that are aligned with the group policies and procedures, provide guidance and interpretation to staff as required, and recommend improvements to systems
  • Work closely with the project management team to ensure people-related agenda are addressed in a timely and proactive manner
  • Manage payroll for expat and local staff and ensure compliance with locals laws
  • Provide required HR reports as required by the operations and Corporate Office
  • Manage staff training and development programs, keep updated records, and ensure training plans are followed trhough
  • Develop and maintain an updated personnel file electronically
  • Review contracts of employment and check that correct visa requirements have been adhered to to ensure accuracy and compliance with employment procedures
  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment of new employees, including placing advertisements, developing contacts with recruiting sources, interviewing, consulting with internal hiring managers, and managing the orientation and onboarding process
  • Act as point of contact for all staff regarding HR matters
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to HR, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Maintain and manage working relationships with third-party HR service providers and ensure they are adhering to our Fair Labor practices and procedures.
  • Implement the GCCS performance management process by setting KPI’s for direct reports, conducting regular reviews, identifying training requirements, and providing a coaching, mentoring and supportive role

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you must have/ be:

  • Proven work experience as an HR amp; Admin. Manager, with at least 3 years of experience in a managerial role
  • Good knowledge of labor law in Congo
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems
  • Excellent team management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications
  • Organized, detail-oriented, with sense of urgency and closure
  • BSc in Human Resources Management or relevant field
  • HR Professional Certified will be preferred (CIPD, SPHRi, PHRi, SHRM-certification)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Can communicate in English and French very well
