Operational amp; Functional

  • Managing consumer and corporate media amp; PR opportunities for the organisation at a national level and supporting local media amp; PR opportunities across the country
  • Media strategy: Responsible for further developing, implementing, and fine-tuning the organisation’s media strategy. Building media relations; identifying media opportunities; anticipating challenges and coordinating responses.
  • Media handling: To be the first point of contact for media enquiries, liaising with key staff to ensure that journalists are provided with statements or interviews as appropriate.
  • When appropriate undertaking press, TV amp; radio interviews and identifying appropriate staff to comment and undertake interviews.
  • Briefing amp; training: To arrange and deliver relevant media training for key staff nationally and locally. To train and prepare identified staff for key media opportunities, situations or a media crisis.
  • Crisis Management: To work closely with an identified team to develop media plans to tackle any crises that may occur.
  • Media partners: To develop media partner proposals for major and key events and opportunities.
  • Interviewees/ambassadors: To recruit host communities’ people and ambassadors people who are willing to speak to the media about a range of issues, to maintain a database of them and to ensure they are adequately supported when speaking to the media.
  • Public Relations Events: To organise media launches and photo opportunities to maximise the public relations opportunities of CSR activities, products launch, etc - to make them newsworthy.
  • Celebrities: To recruit and handle celebrity contacts.
  • Internal Communications: To support the internal communications team amp; Marketing team.
  • Social media. Working with the Marketing Manager to support the Organisation’s growing social media requirements by supply content and dovetailing with traditional media activity.
  • To undertake and support the Communications amp; Marketing team in the delivery against strategic objective.
  • QSE Responsibilities

  • Know and fully apply DCC's API, IMS, HSSE requirements, policies, procedures.
  • Take care of his own health and safety in the workplace and ensure that acts or omissions do not adversely affect the health and safety of other people.
  • Take appropriate measures to minimize risks to quality, health and the environment.
  • Communicate any case of hazardous situation to the Top management or QSE representative.
  • Engage in the QHSE system by organizing all mandatory training and awareness
  • Propose and carry out improvement, corrective and/or preventive actions.

    • Stratégie média : Responsable du développement, de la mise en œuvre et de l’ajustement de la stratégie média de l’organisation.
    • Établir des relations avec les médias ; identifier les opportunités médiatiques ; anticiper les défis et coordonner les réponses.
    • Gestion des médias : être le premier point de contact pour les demandes des médias, assurer la liaison avec le personnel clé pour s'assurer que les journalistes reçoivent des déclarations ou des interviews, le cas échéant.
    • Le cas échéant, entreprendre des interviews avec la presse, la télévision et la radio et identifier le personnel approprié pour commenter et entreprendre des interviews.
    • Briefing et formation : organiser et dispenser une formation médiatique pertinente pour le personnel clé aux niveaux national et local. Former et préparer le personnel identifié aux opportunités médiatiques clés, aux situations ou à une crise médiatique.
    • Gestion de crise : travailler en étroite collaboration avec une équipe identifiée pour développer des plans médias pour faire face à toute crise qui pourrait survenir.
