Job Summary / Mission

  • Coordinate sales activities and oversee execution of agreed strategies to meet customer needs, enhance brand equity and ultimately increase revenue generation for DCC in the assigned region.

Key duties and responsibilities

English

  • Develop and oversee the execution of sales strategies to meet assigned revenue and target metric objectives within the assigned region.
  • Participate in goal-setting activities for the region and agree goals with the Director of Sales amp; Marketing.
  • Develop work plans for the region with clear approach for adoption by the Area Managers or sales customer care officers.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day activities of sales teams in the assigned region and ensure alignment with the company’s objectives.
  • Proactively identify and make recommendations to the Sales amp; Marketing Director on potential revenue streams and customer needs.
  • Monitor sales performance in assigned region and ensure development of effective strategies to address shortfalls.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key customers in the assigned region and maintain long-term relationships with strategic clients.
  • Oversee the management of the region’s customer database to support sales initiatives.
  • Provide support to Area Managers in resolution of escalated sales and/ or customer related issues.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team and ensure implementation of promotional activities for the region.
  • Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that effect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability.
  • Conduct demand planning and forecasting to manage and ensure product availability for customers at all times.
  • Develop and implement tactics and strategies for distributor loyalty.
  • Oversee the preparation of annual budget for the assigned region and monitor its implementation.
  • Authorise expenses for the sales region in line with approved budget and manual of authority.
  • Collate periodic reports from sales teams for review and submission for DCC Management information and decision.
  • Know and fully apply DCC's API, IMS, HSSE requirements, policies, procedures.
  • Responsible for sales team’s personal safety and safe working practices for the unit.
  • Set up KPIs for his unit and oversee designated sales teams in the execution of their duties, providing expertise as required
  • Periodically review performance of the sales teams against set targets.
  • Ensure that sales teams, trainees and apprentices are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated to ensure that the targets can be achieved in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
  • Conduct PMS evaluation of the team
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Identifying critical positions and successions for the same
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Country Head, Sales amp; Marketing

  • Suivre les performances des ventes dans la région assignée et veiller à l'élaboration de stratégies efficaces pour combler les lacunes.
  • Développer et gérer les relations avec les clients clés dans la région assignée et maintenir des relations à long terme avec les clients stratégiques.
  • Superviser la gestion de la base de données clients de la région afin de soutenir les initiatives de vente.
  • Fournir un soutien l’équipe de vente de la zone assignée dans la résolution des problèmes liés aux ventes et/ou aux clients.
  • Coordonner avec l'équipe marketing et assurer la mise en œuvre des activités promotionnelles pour la région
