Summary

VillageReach is seeking a NGCA+ Technical Assistant to support the NGCA+ Specialist in the implementation of VillageReach immunization activities in selected Provinces where the NGCA+ is implemented. He/she will work closely with the Provincial team, and the technical groups involved in the implementation of activities. He/she will work seamlessly with local partners to provide quality technical assistance in immunization supply chain; data collection and analysis; supply chain leadership.

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.

  • Provide technical support in the implementation of the NGCA+ in
    1. The planning of missions to support the direct distribution of vaccines and other EPI inputs.
    2. The collection of essential logistics data from the various direct distributions in databases per health districts and per provinces for the development of dashboards.
    3. Follow-up on the implementation of the inventory control system in the provinces where NGCA+ is implemented.
    4. Support the organization of preparatory meetings and those of analysis and validation of data from direct distributions.
    5. Sharing feedback from the analysis of dashboards of vaccine distribution data and other immunization inputs to all stakeholders in the supply chain.
    6. Support for the implementation of corrective measures in the supply chain after analysis of the related data (replenishment, adjustment, etc.).
    7. In carrying out formative supervision at the health district level.
  • Support the identification and recovery of zero-dose and under-vaccinated children
  • Support the implementation of Mashako Plan and contribute to the improvement of its key indicators.
  • Monitor the status of Mashako Plan implementation, identify constraints and opportunities, and submit strategies to address constraints and other challenges.
  • Supervise distribution activities, logistic data collection and analysis for decision-making and key indicators to measure supply chain performance.
  • Provide technical support alongside other stakeholders in strengthening the capacity of health care providers in supply chain management as well as in improving the delivery of their immunization services
  • Monitor the completeness of vaccination coverage data as well as the health facility LMIS data after the 20th of each month and promote feedback to the indicated health districts
  • Ensure the follow-up of the realization of monthly inventories at the level of the storage sites during EPI supervision and the encoding of the data in Excel bases at the health district level.
  • Ensure the follow-up of the transmission of the bases of the monthly inventories of the Health Districts’ storage sites at their respective EPI Antennas to support the preparation of the next vaccines allocations based on evidence
  • Follow-up on orders for vaccines and other vaccination inputs sent by the EPI Antennas to the EPI Logistics Division
  • Carry out effective reporting of the activities carried out as well as the documentation of success stories and sharing them with the communication team for dissemination.
  • Submit on time high-quality NGCA+ deliverables
  • Attend monitoring meetings at the health districts, reviews of vaccination activities at the provincial level alongside other stakeholders
  • Present the results to the Bandundu Antenna PEV and DPS and other stakeholders and support the DPS in the use of indicators to identify causes of underperformance and develop solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Build and strengthen collaboration with DPS, EPI Antenna, CDR, Health Districts and other local partners.
