Summary

VillageReach offer this post to provide technical assistance to NGCA+ Technical Assistants to ensure the quality of their outputs, including review of their deliverables, work plans, dashboards and reports. In this position, He/She will be able to maintain the NGCA+ Provinces in the highest performance.

The NGCA+ Specialist will support strategic objectives of VillageReach in DRC.

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.

  • Provide technical support to NGCA Technical Assistants and ensure quality implementation of the NGCA approach in selected provinces
  • Provide technical support to NGCA Technical assistants to ensure the quality of their outputs, including review of their deliverables, work plans, dashboards and reports.
  • Support the mapping of hard-to-reach health areas (storage sites) per province and per health districts in order to better monitor their supply of vaccines and other health products
  • Support the follow-up of missed or zero dose communities and the recovery plan of zero dose and under-vaccinated children in collaboration with other stakeholders
  • Develop project management mechanisms, processes and tools and ensure effective and timely monitoring and reporting of activities.
  • Provide technical assistance to Ministry of Health programs involved in the supply chain of vaccines and other health products to achieve their objectives
  • Ensure the effectiveness of the integration of the gender dimension in the process and activities relating to the implementation of the NGCA+ at the provincial levels
  • Ensure the connection of the NGCA+ to other interventions in the supply chain at the provincial level, in this case the monitoring of preventive and curative maintenance of cold chain equipment and others,...
  • Monitor and evaluate NGCA+ deliverables and submit them on time
  • Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the NGCA+ and take timely corrective action
  • Support periodic reviews and audits to assess indicators
  • Support the documentation of success stories relating to the implementation of the NGCA+ in the Provinces where it is implemented
  • Help build a culture of trust for VillageReach based on excellence, collaboration and information sharing among partners, and strong governance and accountability to the project.
  • Attend partner coordination meetings, technical working groups, committees, government forums and conferences as appropriate.
  • Contribute to publications produced by VillageReach and sharing with partners
  • Strengthen the capacity of all technical assistants by identifying their weaknesses
  • Develop relationships with key supply chain stakeholders, including government public health programs and establish yourself as a trusted expert on supply chain issues.
  • Provide technical support for the implementation of the transition plan in Kwilu, Haut-Lomami and Tanganyika
  • Research and assist in drafting published tenders
  • Support advocacy missions in the provinces
  • Promote integration of activities to minimize costs
  • Support resource mobilization
  • Perform other tasks as needed
